October has been mild with average temperatures above a degree warmer than normal, and on Monday it will be decidedly hot, even as we write November.

Forecasts predict between 15 and 18 degrees, and November’s heat record is 18.5 degrees measured in South Zealand in 1968.

It’s been five years since we last had over 15 degrees on a November day, and the normal afternoon temperature in November is 7 degrees.

At this time of year with the rapidly declining days, it gets colder when the air over Denmark stands still. Therefore, a heat like the one we get on Monday requires wind from warmer skies.
