Spain And Italy Have The Lowest Corona Death Rates In Two Months

Spanish

Coronasmitte is strongly returning in both Spain and Italy. But in the UK, death rates are rising.

The number of coronavirus deaths in Italy increased by 153 on Saturday, health authorities in the country said. It is the lowest daily death rate for corona patients in Italy since March 9.

The day before, 242 deaths were recorded among the coronary infected.

Thus, Italy recorded a total of 31,763 coronary deaths since the outbreak was detected in Italy in February.

The number of inpatients in the country’s intensive care units is also declining. On Saturday, there were 775 seriously ill patients in intensive care, compared to 808 the day before.

Spain reports a 102-day death toll over the past 24 hours, the Madrid Ministry of Health said on Saturday. It confirms that the infection is rapidly returning.

It is the lowest daily number of deaths recorded by Spain in eight weeks.

The corresponding figure Friday was 138, and that was a drop from Thursday, with 217 dying with Covid-19.

The total death toll during the crisis is now at 27,563 in Spain.

When the infection was worst in early April, more than 900 people died daily of the coronary disease Covid-19.

Special measures are extended

Spain’s Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said on Saturday that his government would ask parliament to approve the special measures in the country being extended.

The country introduced a state of crisis two months ago. It should expire on May 23. But if Parliament approves of what Sanchez describes as the “final extension,” the restrictions will apply throughout June.

This means, among other things, that the Spaniards must not leave the province in which they live.

No date has yet been set for when Spain will reopen for tourists, the dpa news agency writes.

At the other end of Europe, the UK – which is currently the European epicenter for the coronas center – reports 468 new deaths registered in the past 24 hours. The day before, it was 384.

Thus, the total death toll in the UK is up to 34,466, figures from health authorities show.

Also, including deaths where the deceased is believed to be infected but not confirmed, the figure is over 40,000.
