SAS says goodbye to 560 pilots in Scandinavia

That’s almost half of full-time employees. When the crisis broke out, there were 11,000 full-time employees in SAS.

In the past, TV2 Lorry has been able to tell that SAS has decided to terminate 600 of the Danish cabin employees.

That’s almost half the staff.

This happened after SAS, at the beginning of June, refused to continue the wage compensation it has received from the Danish state during the shutdown of society.

Instead, negotiations began on the dismissal of the 1,700 Danish employees.

Clarification in a few days

In an email to the employees, SAS promised that by 30 June – ie in a few days – the Danish employees would have a clarification.

The outbreak of coronavirus has hit the aviation industry hard.

Travel restrictions and border closures have meant the planes have remained stationary on the ground.

This has meant huge losses for the world’s airlines.
