Today, MitID is launched and it is replacing NemID.
First of all, it means that the old cardboard (security numbers) card is completely phased out. Instead, you will need to use a new app in the future.
However, there will be analogous alternatives for the elderly, disabled or people without a smartphone.
The new MitID is continuously rolled out in stages by 70,000 random Danes at a time – the first today.
