As more and more countries eases restrictions for travelers and open borders, SAS sends more aircraft on the wings in June.
Mainly these are routes between the Scandinavian countries, but passengers can also look forward to being able to travel by SAS from Copenhagen Airport to destinations such as Amsterdam, Chicago and New York, the company announces.
In total, there will be a doubling of capacity, so that next month there will be 30 aircraft in use.
Like airlines around the world, SAS has also taken to the knees of the Corona crisis that kept most aircraft on the ground minimized the demand for airline tickets.
At the end of April, the company had to take the consequence and fire a large portion of its employees. In Denmark, there were 1,700 people and a total of 5,000warned terminated.
Already, 4,000 of SAS’s 4,200 employees had been sent home with salary compensation.
SAS has also introduced mandatory use of mouthwash for all passengers, as well as no food served on flights.
Passengers must also bring their own pillows and blankets, as they have also been removed in an attempt to avoid contamination between travelers.
