Central and West Jutland Police stopped a truck on Thursday night, which turned out to be full of dead mink. Two foreigners have now been arrested.
An anonymous tip caused the police to stop a foreign truck near Feldborg between Karup and Holstebro on Thursday evening.
The tip was that dead mink infected with covid-19 were being smuggled out of Denmark – with a view to later fur the mink.
At 22.18, the police arrested the two people in the truck, who turned out to be foreigners.
So far, the Central and West Jutland Police are reluctant to provide information in the case.
– The police are in the process of looking at the case to find out what is up and down, and whether the minks were infected at all, says Anne Kirkegaard, who is a press officer at the Central and West Jutland Police.
The Central and West Jutland Police are investigating the case and must, among other things, have questioned the two foreigners.
The stop took place at a rest area around Højmosevej and Feldborgvej.
