Between 1200 and 3000 people can be tested for corona every hour in a new test center, which opens in the Park on Monday.
Health professionals get first priority when the country’s largest coronation test center opens its doors in the Park in Copenhagen on Monday at 9 o’clock.
Copenhagen Medical writes in a press release.
It is one of four companies that have entered into an agreement with the health authorities to provide a total of 100,000 daily lightning tests at the expense of the state.
In the Park, 1200 people will be able to have a lightning test taken every hour, which gives an answer within 15 minutes. It will be possible to adjust it to 3000 per hour if needed. This is stated by Copenhagen Medical.
Following a recommendation from the National Board of Health, a quick entrance will be set up for health and care staff. As well as other employees who solve socially critical tasks.
This applies to the police, fire brigade, the Armed Forces, emergency services and veterans, the press release reads.
Not as safe as PCR testing
The rapid tests are called antigen tests and are done through inoculation in the nose.
An expert group of experts has previously stated that antigen tests are far from as safe as the PCR tests used in the state’s test system, and therefore should only be seen as a supplement.
According to Copenhagen Medical, the new test center will help to ensure that the relevant health personnel have been screened for coronavirus before vaccines are given at the country’s nursing homes.
Our test center can solve the test challenge for the affected employees in Greater Copenhagen in a very short time, under orderly and professional conditions, not least due to our fully digitized registration and testing process, says the company’s director Jeppe Handwerk.
– By making this opportunity available, we can help ensure that the roll-out of the vaccination program can start as soon as possible.
Persons who want to use the quick entrance can access from the C-stand on Østre Allé by wearing a uniform or presenting the company’s ID card.
Everyone else can use the entrance via Port H at the A grandstand without an appointment.
