An economic summer package means that three weeks of holiday money will soon find its way to the Danes’ accounts.
By October, Danes will be able to receive three weeks of frozen holiday allowance.
It announces Minister of Finance Nicolai Wammen (S) night to Monday after negotiations on a so-called summer package with the majority of the Parliament’s parties.
The package must start the economy, while Denmark continues to struggle with the effects of the corona crisis.
– We agree on a number of initiatives to stimulate the economy. The three holiday weeks that come out amount to about DKK 60 billion, he says of the money paid by the citizens themselves.
The money will come in October
The holiday allowance will be tried as soon as possible.
But they will probably only be in the citizen’s accounts until October, and this is due to “technical reasons”, Wammen says.
– Danes can be confident that the money will come. So if you want to spend money on ice cream, clothes or things for your home during the summer, you can do it with certainty that the money will come in October, he says.
For the average worker, the three weeks’ holiday allowance will amount to about DKK 15,000 after tax. That’s what the Conservatives chairman, Søren Pape Poulsen, writes on Facebook.
