On Thursday, Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen (S) visited 3F in Kastrup. Here, some of the employees who have been fired as a result of the downturn in the aviation industry during the corona crisis are organized.
The government will try to help them with, for example, education and faster efforts from the job centers, so that the connection to the labor market can be maintained. This is stated by Mette Frederiksen during the visit.
– The airport and the activities in connection with it are some of the things that have been hit the hardest. This is because aviation activity worldwide has declined due to covid-19.
– We face both a challenge for the aviation industry and for the specific people who have lost their jobs, says Mette Frederiksen.
However, she believes that the situation at the beginning of the autumn is more positive than was thought, after Denmark and many other countries in the spring closed for a large part of social activity to get rid of corona.
– Fortunately, so far it has gone better than we dared to hope for in terms of employment and unemployment . But it does not help the situation of those who have been affected.
