On Saturday 21 November, hundreds of protesters will probably drive into Copenhagen in tractors in the period from kl. approximately 10 to 16. Copenhagen Police encourages road users to consider alternative routes or leave the car altogether.
The press release has been updated with maps, and the time for the demonstration and driving out of Copenhagen has been corrected.
The police expect that the potentially hundreds of tractors on the roads will affect traffic significantly in parts of the city as the protesters’ route goes through. Queues are likely to occur.
“We will prioritize leading the tractors through the city with as few stops as possible, but in any case, the demonstration will have a significant impact on traffic. Therefore, we encourage motorists to find alternative routes or perhaps consider using public transport instead, “says police inspector Tommy Laursen.
“If you choose public transport, we remind you to remember to use a bandage and follow the health authorities’ other guidelines,” says Tommy Laursen.
At approximately 10 o’clock, the tractors will be led into Copenhagen via three access roads: Gammel Køge Landevej, Roskildevej and Frederikssundsvej.
Then the tractors drive south on ring 2 and gather at Kalvebod Brygge, where they continue on the following route:
Kalvebod Brygge – Vester Voldgade – Stormgade – Vindebrogade – Christiansborg Slotsplads – Holmens Kanal – Kongens Nytorv – Bredgade – Grønningen – Folke Bernadottes Allé – Indiakaj – Langelinie.
