The first plug with the corona vaccine is at least as good as a negative test – if not better, it sounds from SSI.
If you have already received the first shot of coronavina vaccine, you can after about 14 days be free for a trip to the test center before going to a restaurant, to the gym or maybe to a concert.
This is what Minister of Health Magnus Heunicke (S) says.
– Our authorities have agreed that we can start changing the corona passport, so you get a green – ie an approved corona passport – already about two weeks after the first plug. Today you have to wait for another connector, so that means that you get access via corona pass much earlier.
It is part of the night’s political agreement, which opens up to the rest of society with the exception of nightclubs . All parliamentary parties with the exception of Nye Borgerlige are behind the agreement.
Liberal Party chairman Jakob Ellemann-Jensen, who by the way tried to get relaxed the rules of the corona passport even more, believe there are several benefits to that scheme.
– It really means that there is a large pile of people that we just move between four and six weeks on this whole coronapas part. It means something – also in relation to test capacity and how long people have to stand in line around, says Jakob Ellemann-Jensen.
On Friday, there will be almost 1.5 million Danes who have a vaccine sting with about 14 days on their back.
Slightly better than test
A corona paste 14 days after the first bite is thus blue-stamped by the health authorities, confirms the director of the Statens Serum Institut, Henrik Ullum.
– The Corona Pass is not a 100 percent protection when tested. But what we do know is that after a few weeks after the first bite, you have some protection, he says.
Therefore, the change makes good sense in relation to slowing down the spread of infection.
– In that way, it actually gives an equally good and maybe even a little bit better protection for those you are close to, so in that way it makes really good health professional sense, says Henrik Ullum.
The option to use the first connector as a valid corona pass will only be temporarily to make sure it does not make people drop plug number two.
The text of the agreement states that, as a starting point, it applies 14 days after the first bite, but that the health authorities determine the specific time period.
