Pubs must close and people must move within five kilometers of their homes, new Irish restrictions say.
Ireland will impose some of Europe’s strictest coronary restrictions following an increase in the number of infected.
This was announced by the authorities on Monday evening.
Under the new restrictions , non-essential shops, hairdressers, cultural facilities and fitness centers will be closed, among other things . In addition, pubs and restaurants must be closed to guests and may only provide takeaway. According to The Guardian , public transportation will be turned down to 25 percent capacity.
At the same time, the Irish are not allowed to travel further than five kilometers from home, unless, for example, they are going to work.
Rising infection rates
Ireland had one of Europe’s hardest shutdowns during the first increase in the number of infected back in the spring.
The country has continuously tightened various restrictions and measures in recent weeks, while the number of infections has increased.
