The Aarhusians are absent from their booked corona tests times

People ‘forget’ to spend their coronation times in Aarhus.

This morning, Region Midt informs DR P4 Østjylland that far too many people are absent from their corona tests in Testcenter Aarhus.

Out of 1,600 agreed times last Saturday, 140 people did not show up – and that is inappropriate when there is a great demand for testing at the same time.

– It is a problem if people do not show up – both for themselves and because time has been wasted, says Per Sabro Nielsen, medical director in the Central Jutland Region.

– It is important that we get tested as many as possible in the Aarhus area, so we can contain the outbreak.

Right now there are no available times before Thursday if you want to book an appointment to be tested in Aarhus on coronaprover.dk , but according to Per Sabro Nielsen, medical director in the Central Jutland Region, that there are more times on the way. During tomorrow there will be 900 extra times.

However, there are other options to be tested. Thus, the region has mobile testing units that run around and can test in different areas. But if you choose to be tested in a mobile center, you do not have to book an appointment in advance.

Increases test capacity in the coming week

From the beginning of next week, the test capacity in the municipality will be increased, Bo Elbæk, head of the health emergency department in the Central Jutland Region , told DR on Saturday .

– We do everything to upgrade and have been allocated a lot of extra test capacities. We are in the process of getting more and expect even more next week. Right now we’re trying to get everything we can in so we can solve this ongoing problem of infection detection. We have gone from 2,600 tests a day in the entire region to now being able to double it, he says.

Aarhus Municipality is currently affected by a major outbreak of covid-19 infection. In an attempt to stop the spread of infection, the citizens of Aarhus have been required to wear bandages in all public transport.

In addition, the police have now introduced three so-called hotspots, where people are not allowed to gather more than 100 people at a time. It is on the beaches Bellevue and Den Permanente in Risskov and the Spanish Steps in the city center, where the police will be more present.

In addition, citizens in Aarhus Municipality are encouraged to also work from home, while it is recommended to postpone physical attendance in high schools and other youth educations for 14 days.

Mouthpiece back on the shelves in Aarhus

A number of stores in Aarhus have received five million sanitary napkins from a national warehouse, so that the shelves in pharmacies and Matas stores can be refilled.

See here where and when the bandages are expected to go on sale:

  • On Sunday, three Matas stores put the sanitary napkins up for sale. These are the shop in Bruuns Galleri, in Storcenter Nord and on Søndergade 32 (Strøget).
  • From Monday, the sanitary napkins will be sold in the remaining Matas stores as well as the pharmacies in the municipality.
  • The sanitary napkins are sold in packs of 50 pieces. At Matas, the price of such a package is 99 kroner.
  • Some other stores also have bandages in stock, but do not receive new supplies from the national warehouse.
