Visitors must have access to mouthwash or other protective equipment.

As of Thursday, visits to nursing homes, nursing homes, relief places as well as hospitals and clinics are generally free to visit. This applies to both outdoor and indoor visits.

It states the Ministry of Health and Elderly in one Press release.

However, there may be exceptions to visits.

For example, if there is an outbreak of infection in a home that is in Hjørring Municipality at the time of writing, the Danish Agency for Patient Safety may introduce rules on restrictions on visits or prohibit it altogether.

Since March, there have been tight restrictions for visits to nursing homes, among other things, to protect them against coronavirus infections, which can make particularly elderly and chronically ill patients a serious course of illness.

– With our offensive testing strategy, intensive infection detection and opportunity temporarily to intervene in case of flare-up, we have the necessary tools to ensure that residents and patients in Denmark can now receive even greater visits, says Health and Elder Minister Magnus Heunicke (S) in press release.
