One of the two people arrested by police on Tuesday afternoon in connection with a 28-year-old man found dead in a bonfire hut in the Northern Forest near Blykobbe denies killing, but he acknowledges the violence.

The 23-year-old resident is charged with Section 237 of the Criminal Code, which can provide a prison term of five years and life.

According to the charge, the man struck the victim with a firearm and with bottles, just as he should have kicked and stabbed the victim with a knife and put a knee on the neck of the now deceased man.

The cause of death is not yet known, but may be due to skull fractures.

The assault happened at a time between 00.39 and 6:11 on Tuesday morning.

The 23-year-old is pleading guilty but admits to serious violence, he said in court, before closing the doors.

The 25-year-old co-defendant will also be produced Wednesday.
