In future, foreign citizens over the age of 18 must be able to present a negative corona test if they want to enter Sweden.
The Swedish Prime Minister, Stefan Löfven, has just announced this at a press conference .
The new requirement will take effect on Saturday, the Prime Minister said
– Without a negative test you do not enter the country. The test must, as a rule, be a maximum of 48 hours old, says Löfven.
The new requirement for a negative test applies until 31 March.
The borders with Denmark, Norway and the United Kingdom are already closed. Danes can only enter in certain special cases, eg if they live or work in the country.
