Low pressure has caused storms in many places in Europe, and snow has fallen in the Alps.
While here in Denmark we were hit by severe weather, when cloudbursts and large amounts of rain on Friday hit parts of Zealand, large parts of Europe are currently experiencing a marked weather change that has sent the summer heat far away.
In both Western Europe and the Mediterranean, there have been storms as it snows down to below 1000 meters altitude in the Alps.
It is a large low-pressure area that has sent colder air down over large parts of Europe.
The cold air hit the Alps on Friday, where precipitation began to fall as snow, and on Saturday morning it continued to snow throughout the Alpine region.
