SMHI now issues class 1 and class 2 warnings for certain parts of Sweden. The snowstorm that is pulling in is a real setback for the spring, states SVT’s meteorologist Marcus Sjöstedt.
We have an extensive snowfall area that moves in over Sweden on Thursday. SMHI has issued warnings. Right now it is a class 2 in Bohuslän, inner Dalsland and Värmland.
There we are expected to get the largest amounts of snow with up to 15 centimeters of fresh snow. It will blow, which can result in strong drive formation, says Marcus Sjöstedt.
A class 1 warning has been issued for several counties in southern Sweden, where 5-10 centimeters of snow is expected to fall on Thursday afternoon. – In the southern part of the country it will snow and then the snowfall will turn to rain.
