Some of the wolves that have mysteriously disappeared in Denmark have been killed by humans.
This is the conclusion of Professor Peter Sunde from Aarhus University now together with other researchers. The mortality rate among young Danish wolves is 46 percent – and thus much higher than in other countries.
– The mortality rate is ten times as high as it should be. We can not explain this naturally, says Peter Sunde.
And that leaves, according to Peter Sunde, with one prevailing theory about what happened to the wolves.
– There is only one plausible explanation left: They are being felled and disposed of. We cannot, in the nature of things, say anything about who is behind it.
In recent years, nine wolves have disappeared from Denmark.
