On Tuesday evening, Health Minister Magnus Heunicke held a press conference on the situation with coronavirus in Denmark.
The Minister of Health and Elderly Magnus Heunicke as well as the Acting Director of the Danish Patient Safety Board Anette Lykke Petri were scheduled for a press briefing on Tuesday evening.
At the press conference, the Minister of Health stated that a person who participated in the giant Black Lives Matter demonstration in Copenhagen tested positive for corona. The person stayed close to others along the way during the demonstration.
At the July 7 demonstration, about 15,000 people attended.
“That is why we now come with a call for people who believe that during the demonstration they have stayed close to others in the crowd. They may have been infected and should be tested. It applies whether you have symptoms or not, ”says Magnus Heunicke
In recent weeks, the level of new cases of infection has been low in Denmark. The most recent inventory from Monday to Tuesday showed 33 new confirmed cases and no new deaths.
There is a regional outbreak of infection in the Municipality of Hjørring, which has particularly affected the elderly.
Earlier on Tuesday, Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen announced that the government is working on new guidelines so that it can and will soon open the borders to several countries with few infected.
