I have not lifted this management task well enough.
This is how it sounds in a longer post on Facebook from Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen (S).
The post is about the cases of sexism and abuse that have flourished in recent times, after TV host Sofie Linde came up with a call a few months ago. Cases that yesterday led to the Lord Mayor of Copenhagen and Deputy Chairman of the Social Democrats, Frank Jensen, leaving Danish politics.
And here the Prime Minister acknowledges that she has not lived up to her responsibilities, and that since her first time in the Social Democrats as a young woman she ‘knows many nooks and crannies’ of the party.
– It is not fair that it was Sofie Linde who started this process in the Social Democrats. I should have done it myself. It is no longer like that, writes the Prime Minister.
At the same time, the Prime Minister emphasizes what she thinks sexism and abuse are about:
– It’s not about flirting or sexual relations – but about abuse of power. That is why it is problematic, she writes.
