Another seven countries – three of them quite small – have so many new corona infections on Thursday, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ latest travel guide, that it is not advisable to travel to those destinations.
The seven new countries that are now going from yellow to orange on the Foreign Ministry’s travel map are Bulgaria, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Liechtenstein, San Marino and the Vatican.
Coronavirus also has a strong grip on neighboring Sweden, where the travel guide follows a Nordic model with the possibility of dividing the country into regions. So far, eight Swedish regions have been so plagued by the epidemic that travel there is not recommended.
In the new travel guide, four more regions out of a total of 21 in Sweden have been added – they are Dalarna, Gotland, Jönköping and Östergotland.
With an increasing number of infections in a large number of European countries – and also in Denmark – the travel space for Danes has gradually become quite limited. Only four countries – Germany, Norway, Greece and Cyprus – have such a low infection rate that a visit to these destinations is healthy and safe. And they therefore maintain the yellow color on the map of Europe.
