“I feel really good! Do not be afraid of Covid “, the president writes in his post.
“I feel better than I did 20 years ago.”
It is currently unclear whether Trump will be quarantined, or what will happen after he is discharged.
World-leading doctor around the clock
At 9 pm Swedish time, less than an hour after the tweet, Trump’s doctor Sean Conley held another press conference outside the military hospital Walter Reed.
– The president’s condition has continued to improve. He now meets all the requirements to be able to be discharged, said Dr. Conley.
– It is more than 72 hours since he had a fever.
But the danger is not completely over, according to Dr. Sean Conley.
– Although he will be surrounded by world-leading doctors around the clock, at home in the White House.
– They will not miss anything.
Conley was asked by a reporter if he agreed with the president’s opinion that one should not be afraid of covid-19.
– I do not want to comment on what the president says, the doctor replied.
Multiple doses of Remdesivir
However, it was not possible to answer the question of whether the president should be quarantined or how it will be handled after he leaves the hospital.
“We will do what we can to enable him to carry out his duties,” Sean Conley told a news conference.
Trump’s medical team stated at the meeting that the president received a third dose of the drug Remdesivir.
And he’s going to get another dose before he’s discharged from Walter Reed.
In all, about 210,000 people have died from covid-19 in the United States, according to John Hopkins University.
