The Statens Serum Institut has developed a vaccine , which is now ready to be tested on humans.
This is stated by the Ministry of Health and the Elderly in a press release.
This happens after the Folketing’s finance committee has allocated DKK 18.8 million to the Statens Serum Institut, so that future clinical test phases of the vaccine candidate can be prepared.
– It is important that we from the Danish side contribute to the development and research of vaccines against covid-19, as it can potentially ensure Denmark access to a wider range of vaccines . This grant means that the first clinical test phases can be completed, says Minister of Health and the Elderly Magnus Heunicke.
