In future, Danes who want to travel will have even fewer countries to choose from if they want to go outside the country’s borders.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ latest travel guide on Thursday advises against traveling to another five countries due to too many people infected with covid-19. The new countries, which are now colored orange on the ministry’s travel cards, are the Netherlands, Portugal, Switzerland, Austria and Hungary.
For the first four countries, their infection rates have reached the wrong side of 30 new infections per capita. 100,000 inhabitants, while the recommendation not to travel to Hungary is due to the fact that the country has introduced special travel restrictions that include quarantine for Danes.
A single, small country – San Marino – has reversed the trend and reduced the number of infected, so it goes from orange to yellow on the map of Europe, and this means that Danes can once again travel to the small state.
Prior to the latest travel guide, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs advised against all unnecessary travel to Luxembourg, Romania, Spain, Andorra, Malta, Belgium, Monaco, Croatia, France, San Marino and the Czech Republic. The bottom line after the latest travel guide is that there are now restrictions on traveling to a total of 15 countries in Europe.
