TV 2 experiences: Here are the new restrictions in Denmark

Christiansborg

On Friday at 6.30 pm, the Prime Minister will hold a press conference in the Mirror Hall in the Prime Minister’s Office at Christiansborg.

TV 2 learns on Friday afternoon that the general assembly ceiling will be lowered from 50 to 10 people from Monday. However, as today – there will be a number of exceptions, including schools and workplaces.

The new assembly ceiling will last for four weeks, according to TV 2’s information.

According to TV 2’s information, requirements will also be introduced for the use of bandages indoors in all public places – this applies, among other things, in the retail trade and in the healthcare system.

TV 2 also learns that a ban will be introduced on selling alcohol in retail and kiosks after 10 pm.

859 new cases of infection were found on Friday. It is the highest number in a day ever and breaks the record from Thursday, which stood at 760 cases.

The contact number, also known as the infection pressure, was down to 0.8 a few weeks ago. In September, it was up to 1.6. Currently, the contact number is 1, which means that one corona-infected person on average passes the virus on to another.

No traditional Christmas lunches

In September, the government lowered the assembly ban to 50 people.

And on October 7, the assembly ban and the rules that restaurants, bars and cafes must stay closed at 10pm were extended to apply until October.

On Thursday, the Prime Minister also announced that the tightening will mean that traditional Christmas lunches will not be able to be implemented.

– The corona is back. And we will introduce further restrictions, Mette Frederiksen told Ritzau on Thursday.

In a post on Facebook, the Prime Minister writes that “the situation is very serious”. She encourages Danes to follow the press conference at 18.30.
