Rising infection rates in Copenhagen are causing the police to react.
The rising numbers of infections are now causing the Copenhagen Police to introduce a residence ban in several places in Nørrebro .
The stay ban applies from Thursday evening to Sunday in two places in Nørrebroparken – Hørsholmparken and Skateparken.
Both places have recently been a gathering place for partying young people.
In the metropolitan area, rising infection rates are currently being recorded, and a large proportion of those infected are between 20 and 29 years old.
Unfortunately, the number of infections is going in the wrong direction, and we obviously have to take the consequences of that. We cannot accept that larger groups gather at a time when we have to make an extra effort to reduce the infection in Copenhagen.
– Therefore, we are now introducing a temporary and time-limited residence ban in the parts of Nørrebroparken, where we have recently had challenges with many people in the evening and night hours, says Police Director of Copenhagen Police Anne Tønnes.
