A nine-passenger train has been run off the track on a stretch between Borris and Skjern after striking several cows.
The train hit 15 cows, which were on the track, around 22.50 on Friday, Central and West Jutland police said.
– At 3am, there were still a lot of cows over a distance of 100 meters, says head manager Henrik Nielsen early Saturday morning.
– One of the cows is a 1.5-ton Chevrolet bull. It takes time to move, he says.
No persons have been injured, police say, but all 15 cows have died.
According to police, an Arriva train hit the cows at 100 kilometers per hour.
The train has suffered several injuries, and there are still train debris over a distance of 100 meters, says Henrik Nielsen.
The accident will affect train operations on Saturday, police say, as the cleanup work is still underway.
