The number of inpatients increases by one, while three new deaths have been recorded. Aarhus in particular has been hit hard by the corona.
Since yesterday, 859 new corona infections have been registered in Denmark. This is the highest number of registered cases of infection measured in a single day since the spring, when the test strategy was different.
Yesterday, 760 cases of infection were the sad record so far, so there is an increase in the number of confirmed infections on 99 since yesterday.
There are 125 inpatients, which is one more than yesterday. There are 18 patients in intensive care. 13 of them are in respirator.
The number of deaths increases by three, the new figures from the Statens Serum Institut show.
Today’s infection rates are based on 44,244 tests. That is a higher number than last week, but lower than last month, when typically over 50,000 people were tested on weekdays.
At the same time, the proportion of ‘positive’ tests is increasing. There is thus a larger proportion of those tested who turn out to be infected. This is a sign that the increase in infection is real and not just about more people being tested.
