Another volcanic eruption has hit the island of La Palma, which is part of the Canary Islands.
Local authorities say the Cumbre Vieja volcano has erupted again, meaning several flights to and from the island have been canceled. The first outbreak happened five days ago.
The volcano is in a new explosive phase. Firefighters can no longer continue the effort today, the fire brigade from the neighboring island of Tenerife, which has been deployed to help, announces.
It is the first volcanic eruption on La Palma since 1971. More than 7,000 people have been evacuated from the island. ⚫️
