According to President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, the European parties on the far right are out to put an end to the EU.
She says this in a speech in the German city of Munich.
– These extremists have one thing in common: They want to weaken, destroy and cause our Europe to collapse, she says and promises that she will “never allow that to happen”.

She also says that, like never before, Europe is “challenged by populists, extremists and demagogues”.
