Digital coronapas will be able to document that you have been vaccinated or have recently had a negative test taken.
The government expects a digital corona passport to be ready by May. This is what Finance Minister Nicolai Wammen (S) tells TV2 News.
The digital coronapas is an app on the phone where you can show whether you have been vaccinated against coronavirus or have recently had a test with a negative answer.
Initially, the passport should make it easier to travel if, for example, a country requires a negative test to enter.
The hope of the business community is that the passport can also be used in connection with concerts or football matches.
The app will, for example, be able to be used at the ticket control or at the airport, where you will be able to scan a QR code.
Plans for a digital corona pass were announced in early February. At the time, it was rumored that it would be ready in three to four months.
The Corona Pass is made in collaboration with the two large business organizations Danish Industry and Danish Business.
At Dansk Industri, CEO Lars Sandahl Sørensen is pleased that there has been a boost in work on the corona pass, but he believes that the speed must be increased.
– We must return to a life and a society where it is possible to go to a concert, in the city, in the cinema and at a festival. We must have a real reopening of Denmark and the world, and we must use the tools that can help with this reopening.
– Speed is crucial – it must go faster to develop a digital corona pass, he says in a written comment.
Until the passport is ready in May, it is already possible to show your corona status on sundhed.dk. From mid-May, it will also be possible in the app MinHealth.
