The Danish Parliament votes yes to give the royal house 17 million more per year

It will cost taxpayers 17.3 million kroner more per year to pay for the royal house.

This has just been adopted by the Folketing, writes Ritzau.

The total benefit to the Royal Palace increases from DKK 126.5 million to DKK 143.8 million.

The royal house’s annuity or appanage will be increased, as the government had put forward a bill which was supposed to “secure the royal house’s finances in the future”.
