It’s tragic for the whole village, says market manager Tobias Lindh in Charlottenberg.
Only the Swedish island of Gotland in the Baltic Sea is open to Norwegian tourists. The rest of Sweden is still affected by coronary restrictions. This means that you have to quarantine for 10 days when you return to Norway.
It told Prime Minister Erna Solberg during a press conference Friday.
In Charlottenberg, just across the Swedish border, people are disappointed.
“It is tragic for both the employees here and the whole village that travel restrictions continue,” says Tobias Lindh, Marketing Manager at Hypermat in Charlottenberg.
He says they have had to make cuts after the border closed.
In the past there has been full speed in here. Constant. It has overtaken Norwegians across the border. But one day, it ended, sighs Lindh.
