Six killed after missile attack on Lviv

In the early hours of Monday morning, the city of Lviv in western Ukraine was hit by several explosions

According to Reuters, the mayor of Lviv reports that five missiles have hit the city. Six people were killed during the attack and eight were injured, the governor of the Lviv region said .

Sources in Lviv say there were apparently attacks on railway facilities.

Lviv is located near the border with Poland. The city is a hub for migration in and out of Ukraine. Foreign media also use the city as a base for their coverage of the war in Ukraine.

On Monday morning, there were also reports of missile attacks in the Dnipropetrovsk region of southern Ukraine and in the capital Kyiv. No injuries have been reported so far .
