The water should be boiled for at least two minutes before it is drunk or used for cooking.
Signs of pollution of drinking water have been found in Roskilde Municipality.
Therefore, the water must be boiled for at least two minutes before it is drunk, used for cooking, washing dishes or coffee brewing.
This is stated by the municipality in a press release .
– I would urge everyone to take the recommendation to boil the water seriously – and to pass the message on to neighbors and others. We are of course working with FORS (the utility company, ed.) To find the fault, says mayor of Roskilde Municipality, Tomas Breddam.
On Thursday, the utility company took routine water samples from the Hornsherred waterworks . These are the tests that have been answered today. The samples show that there are enterococci and coliform bacteria in the water.
The recommendation to boil the water has been decided in collaboration with the Danish Agency for Patient Safety.
