If you are worried about having been exposed to infection on one of the departures, you can book an appointment for a test.
Several people have been found infected with coronavirus after taking the ferry from Hirtshals in North Jutland to Kristiansand in Norway.
This is stated by the Norwegian response to the National Board of Health , National Institute of Public Health .
There are a total of four people who have been with two different departures from Hirtshals with the company Color Line.
One crossing sailed from Hirtshals on July 29 at 20.45. After the crossing, three passengers from the ferry were found infected. The second crossing was the same route that departed from Hirtshals on 4 August at 12.15.
Travelers are contacted
The Danish Agency for Patient Safety in Denmark also encourages Danes to be tested if they are concerned that they have been exposed to infection on the crossing.
– If you have a concern that you have been exposed during one of the two sailings in question or otherwise, you always have the opportunity to book an appointment for a test on coronaprover.dk, reads a response from the agency.
If you have symptoms either after participating in one of these voyages or in general, you must contact your own doctor.
The infected person on the crossing on July 29 traveled in business class, which is why it is mainly people in the department of the ferry who may have been exposed to infection.
– It is not probable that the infection occurred on the ship, but the National Institute of Public Health cannot rule out that people who have been in contact may have been exposed to the infection.
– Therefore, it is important that people on the two crossings are aware of symptoms of coronavirus and immediately contact the municipal health service if they have signs of illness, says Petter Elstrøm from the department.
