Parties before negotiations: We must have a plan for reopening everything

The parliamentary parties are meeting today for negotiations on reopening.

Several of the parliamentary parties agree on one thing when they meet today at 12 noon for negotiations: We need a long-term plan so that the Danes know when the various parts of society will reopen.

The Conservatives’ Søren Pape Poulsen puts it this way:

– When we leave the negotiations today, tonight or tonight, or when it will be, then there must be an overall plan for when EVERYTHING opens. That’s almost the most important thing we can do today, he says.

Similar tones come from the Radicals’ political leader, Sofie Carsten Nielsen, who hopes that the parties will tomorrow be able to present a detailed plan.

– Not just for two weeks and two weeks, but actually for the rest of 2021. What are we looking into, and what can the population count on? she says toDR News.

SF’s Pia Olsen Dyhr also believes that the time has come to agree on a detailed reopening plan.

– I think then that we have to make this long plan, where we get it all at some point, but it is always on the condition that we have control of the corona, because of course we will not risk that it goes completely wrong, she says.

Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen (S) has previously promised that negotiations on a comprehensive reopening plan will be completed tomorrow.

– It may well be that it will be a very long working day on Monday. But yes, I think we are all betting that there is an agreement by Tuesday at the latest, she said last year when a minor reopening agreement was presented.
