Mette Frederiksen: Restrictions can continue throughout the winter

There are many indications that the country’s school children will have to stay at home for a while yet – even after 17 January, when the current restrictions expire.

This is what Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen (S) told TV2 on Sunday evening.

– If I have to answer now and here, then it is not very likely that all or just some of the current coronary restrictions will be lifted after 17 January, says Mette Frederiksen.

However, the Prime Minister makes the reservation that the final decision will be made during the coming week – on the basis of fresh monitoring figures.

Mette Frederiksen also calls for more to be tested. The number of people tested has fallen since the Christmas holidays, when the test centers experienced a large influx.

According to the Prime Minister, the whole winter can be affected by restrictions .

– There is something that points in the direction of a continued rather hard shutdown, she says.
