The government on Wednesday decided to impose a number of new restrictions to combat the infection with coronavirus. See them all in the list below.
Today, there were 3,692 new registered cases of infection, 54 new admissions and 14 deaths. Right now, a total of 493 patients are hospitalized with covid-19, including 68 in intensive care units and 40 patients in respirator.
Thus, the total number of admissions nationwide has increased by 12.3 percent from 15 December to 16 December.
“The situation around the corona is developing, and it is unfortunately very serious,” said Mette Frederiksen at a press conference on Wednesday at 6 pm, where she presented the new restrictions.
“We are doing what we are doing today because an epidemic that is getting out of control will have more and more serious consequences for society than those we have to endure by shutting down now,” she said Mette Frederiksen:
“From Christmas Day until January 3, Denmark will actually be closed down.”
