Germany tightens entry restrictions for Danes

If you are planning a trip to Germany in the near future, you must bring a negative corona test, or proof that you are fully vaccinated or previously infected.

This is stated on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ website .

At the same time, travel into Germany must be registered digitally on the websitewww.einreiseanmeldung.debefore entry. If the journey into Germany takes place by land or sea, the digital registration can wait 48 hours if you go in self-isolation.

However, there are exceptions for Danes who, for example, just drive through Germany or need a trip across the border to shop. If you are in transit, the test and registration obligation does not apply, just as you are exempt if your stay in Germany is less than 24 hours.

The changes in the restrictions are due to the recent increase in infection in Denmark.
