If you are planning a trip to either Angola, Malawi or Zambia, you must be aware that the Danish authorities have tightened the travel rules.
From today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises against travel to the three countries, and entrants who have been to one of the countries no later than ten days before must have taken a test within 24 hours, just as they must isolate themselves for ten days after entry.
When ‘the red safety valve is activated’, it is because the countries transfer only a few or no corona samples to an international database, and therefore it is difficult to assess the risk of how widespread the new Omicron variant is. This is a precautionary principle, writes the Ministry of Health.
Now Denmark has travel restrictions against ten African countries.
