The government has presented a third reconstruction package under the Ukraine Fund.
It contains DKK 151 million for the reconstruction of the war-torn country.
This is according to Minister for Development Cooperation and Global Climate Policy Dan Jørgensen (S), who has just been to Ukraine.
The money must, among other things, go towards securing electricity and heating as well as identifying and removing landmines.
The minister tells Ritzau that it is very clear that Ukraine continues to be a severely tested country with smashed buildings and a destroyed infrastructure.
– There is a lack of the most basic necessities of life such as access to water and heat and in some places even a roof over your head and electricity.
– These are things that most people can hardly imagine living without, he continues.
