Denmark: 430 have been registered infected in the last 24 hours

The positive percentage lands at 0.46 percent, and it is the highest figure since the end of January.

In the last 24 hours, 430 people have been registered infected with coronavirus.

At the same time, the number of admissions has increased by 22, so that there are now 400 people admitted to the Danish hospitals.

This is stated by the Statens Serum Institut .

Of the 400 inpatients, 73 are admitted to an intensive care unit – 53 of them receive help from a respirator.

Infection under control

A total of 93,017 samples have been taken since yesterday, and the positive percentage is thus 0.46 percent. This is the highest share since the end of January.

Thorkild IA Sørensen, professor emeritus of epidemiology at the University of Copenhagen, assesses on top of Monday’s coronatal that the coronavirus is being controlled in Denmark.

– I think we are getting good control of the epidemic, but there is still concern. Beneath the surface simmers the British variant, which can very quickly get hold of and aggravate the situation, he tells Ritzau.

Deaths not registered

Today’s update states that there are no new corona-related deaths, and on Sunday, one corona-related death was reported.

But SSI states that data on deaths has not been updated either Sunday or Monday due to operational disruptions in the cause of death register.
