The Italian band Måneskin won at Saturday’s Eurovision final.
After 31 years of waiting, Italy can once again call itself the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest.
On Saturday night, the rock band Måneskin and the Italian contribution ‘Zitti e buoni’ won the big Eurovision final, which was broadcast live from Rotterdam in the Netherlands.
With a total of 524 points from European TV viewers and professional juries, the Italians snatched the victory, their first since 1990, ahead of France and Switzerland.
This is the third time in history that Italy has won the traditional music competition.
Måneskin has been given their Danish-like band name because the group’s bassist, 21-year-old Victoria De Angelis, is half Danish.
