It will probably be Sweden’s Minister of Finance Magdalena Andersson who will take over the post as party chairman of the Swedish Social Democrats.
On Wednesday, the party’s election committee has chosen to nominate Andersson as a replacement for Stefan Löfven, who in August announced his resignation as party chairman and prime minister.
In the end, however, it is the Swedish parliament, the Riksdag, that decides who is accepted as prime minister.
