Blind passengers led to police action against oil tanks in England

Seven people have been arrested on board an oil tanker off the Isle of Wight in England on Sunday. British police asked the military for help with the police operation.

Armed forces have gained control of the ship and seven individuals have been arrested. This is confirmed by the British Ministry of Defense in a statement on Sunday night.

British special forces from the military boarded the oil tanker “Nave Andromeda” after the Greek-operated vessel did not dock this morning.

According to the police, the blind passengers must have verbally threatened the crew of the oil tanker. No one was injured.

It is not yet known where the stowaways come from or what they wanted with the ship. The police are investigating the case.

British police cooperated with the Coast Guard and border police during the operation.
