Danish vaccine shows “promising” rates
A new vaccine candidate from Statens Serums Institut, which has been given the buzzful name CoVAXIX, has been tested on mice with great success. In fact, the institute calls the rules “promising”.
Specifically, the vaccine elicits antibodies that neutralize covid-19 better than most people who have developed immunity after having the infection.
The vaccine is ready for human testing, but the serum institute lacks both safety approvals and funding to produce enough CoVAXIX. However, the researchers behind hope they can begin human trials in late fall or early 2021.
